Vial size, water and dose in, exact syringe units out, with the week-by-week build-up and a dose log. Semaglutide is taken once a week; long-term, built up over ~4 months.
On a standard U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units = 1ml. Read the dossier →

Semaglutide dosing at a glance
- How often: Once weekly.
- Typical run: Long-term, built up over ~4 months.
- Vial sizes: 10mg, 20mg, 30mg. Formats: Vial.

It is started at a low dose and stepped up every four weeks, so the stomach has time to adjust. Most people reach their maintenance level after roughly four months. Taken once a week, on the same day.
Semaglutide units on a U-100 syringe
With a 10mg vial and 2ml of bacteriostatic water the mix is 5mg per ml, so every 10 units holds 0.5mg. Change the vial or the water in the calculator above and the units update.
| Dose | Units to draw (10mg + 2ml) | Volume |
|---|---|---|
| 0.25mg | 5 units | 0.05ml |
| 0.5mg | 10 units | 0.1ml |
| 1mg | 20 units | 0.2ml |
| 1.7mg | 34 units | 0.34ml |
| 2.4mg | 48 units | 0.48ml |

Common questions
How many units is 0.5mg of Semaglutide?
With a 10mg vial mixed in 2ml, 0.5mg is 10 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. With 3ml of water it would be 15 units: more water means more units for the same dose, which is easier to measure for small doses.
How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10mg vial of Semaglutide?
2ml is the common default; anywhere from 2ml to 3ml is fine. More water doesn’t change the dose, only how many units it takes to draw it. See mixing a vial.
What if I miss a Semaglutide dose?
Never double up. For a weekly peptide, take it if the next dose is still a few days away; otherwise skip it. The missed doses guide has the rule for each peptide. Dose-day emails above come with an “I took it” button so you never have to wonder.
